“Gotcha Covered” – Special New Album Preview Shows
If you saw The Screaming Jets ball tearing show on the recent Red Hot Summer tour you’d know they were packing a few surprises in the set. Anyone hear the sound of EasyBeats “Wedding Ring” or AC/DC’s “Rock’n’Roll Damnation” ? Well, they were warming you up for their next recording adventure will be in the form of the “Gotcha Covered” – Great Australian Songbook.
A homage of sorts to the bands favorite Aussie music legends of the last 3 decades. The boys are about to re-record a collection of Aussie radio classics and live anthems using The Jets own unmistakable trademark attitude.
On Fri 3rd & Sat 4th Aug at Sydney’s most iconic rock venue, The Bridge Hotel, the boys will showcase their new “Gotcha Covered” album in it’s entirety.
These two special shows will be your only opportunity to see the band play the entire new album from end to end with no holds barred. Then they’ll hit the stage for a second set of all the hits, classics and surprises you’d expect.
Get there early… The Jets will be their own support on both nights!
“Better” – Most Played Australian Track On MMM
In 1980 radio station MMM Sydney was launched.
11 years later, in 1991, The Screaming Jets released what was to become an Australian rock anthem titled “Better”.
In August 2017, MMM Sydney crowned “Better” as the most played single by an Australian artist in its 37 year history. “Better” has been played over 4900 times since it’s release 26 years ago.
Sister station MMM Melbourne reports that “Better” holds the #2 spot on their list of most played Aussie artists. Melbourne locals Hunters & Collectors “Holy Grail” take out the Melbourne crown for #1.
MMM has championed the Jets from the outset and has always been the heartland of Screaming Jets listeners since the beginning of time. Dave Gleeson, Paul Woseen, Jimi Hocking, Scott Kingman and new member Mark Macleod would like to thank you, the people, for continuing to show your undying support for the band.
“You are the reason we keep touring writing and stay passionate about Oz rock. Shout out to all you Aussie Music fans.. your support matters!” – The Jets
Villa Noosa Hotel – Important Change Of Venue
Villa Noosa Hotel – Fri 28th July – Important Change Of Venue
The show for tonight, Fri 28th July, at Villa Noosa Hotel has had to be unexpectedly moved to a new venue at The Wharf Tavern. The new venue will be open for fans at 8pm, all tickets will be fully honoured and the band are glad to announce that the promoter has arranged round trip buses from the original venue to the new venue at no charge to fans.
If you have any questions at all about ticketing for this show we encourage you to contact tixsupport.moshtix.com.au
The new venue, The Wharf Tavern, is at the corner of River Esplanade & Parkyn Parade in Mooloolaba. Ph:(07) 5444 8383
Obviously the band regret this last minute change, which has been beyond their control, but with the free buses and the promoter being so willing to make every effort not to cancel the show you can bet that this Chromozone Tour date will see the band just as keen as ever to make the joint jump.
Considering the last minute nature of this venue change the band would like to thank promoter QLive for going to hell and back to create an alternative location for the show.
