On the back of hugely successfully sell out Rock Radio Radio tour, The Screaming Jets announce a new run of Summer dates in Dec/Jan 2018/2019
Due to popular demand, The Jets have decided to take their extensive catalogue of classic hits and the new covers album back on the road for the Summer of 2018/2019. With the set list a heady mix of all your favourite Jets originals, rotating ‘Gotcha Covered‘ songs and a few surprises from the back catalogue which spans 30 years of songs. Punters are in for a treat at the end of the year.
In July 2018, The Screaming Jets released their 8th studio album “Gotcha Covered”. The release made it’s debut on the National ARIA charts in the national Top 20. Peaking at #1 on the iTunes Rock charts, and #1 on the AIR charts. First single “Wedding Ring” received high status on all Triple M playlists as well as other rock stations around the country.
“Gotcha Covered” features iconic songs such as Goanna’s “Razor’s Edge”, The Easybeats “Wedding Ring”, Men At Work’s “Overkill”, Dragon’s “Rain”. Every track on ‘Gotcha Covered‘ offers up a rebirthed Australian classic stamped with the unique sound that is synonymous with The Screaming Jets.
Known as “The best live band I have ever witnessed..” (Neil Jeffreys Kerrang magazine), The Screaming Jets “Gotcha Covered – The Tour” set will feature a treasure trove of Jets classics including “Better”, “Helping Hand”, “October Grey”, “Shine On”, “C’Mon (just to name a few) combined with a rotating selection of gems from the “Gotcha Covered” album.
Songs from ‘Tear of Thought’ and ‘All For One” and the Jets recent Hot Metal – Album Of the Year offering ‘Chrome’, fit brilliantly alongside Hoodoo Gurus “Right Time”, The Angels “Shadowboxer” and Radio Birdman’s “Aloha Steve & Dano”. The Radiators “Gimme Head” was always destined to be a crowd pleaser and doesn’t disappoint.
